Discovering Me- Part 1

It's true. 

No matter what one seems to do, there are those moments in your life where you begin to question their significance. 

Idealism, realism.. 

Could there be an in between? Or perhaps there isn't a boundary even. 

What is an ideal? Why must it be so defined from reality? To the point in which we strive for one and yet fall short because of the latter... Must it be so? Or could it be possible to blur those lines, and for once, let ideals and what we perceive to be real, merge and become one? Could that one.. that grey shade, become a solid color? What if there were no absolutes? Would it then be possible to neither neglect nor accept the idea of both? 

For many of us, to be loved and to love, simultaneously, is the ultimate ideal. 

In reality, many a time, it does not happen quite as what Ideal had planned. 

But my question, is why? 

Why must reality sting? Why must ideals only be treated as unreachable? 

Those are not my questions. Although they would make perfect sense to ask them. 

Would there be an answer? 

As most would say, it is as it is. We can't do anything about it. It is a fact. Period.

Loving someone, what does this mean? 

I never really understood this age old question.. What is love? 

And though there are millions of answers that seem correct, the ultimate answer, has it been found?

To do all that one can for someone.. Is that love?

To sacrifice everything for someone.. Is that love? 

Care, sacrifice, adoration, praise, discipline, faith, trust, patience, goodness.. All these are the many names of 'love'. 

But what is it's true identity? Unmasked by the many associations and words.. 

Where is love?

It's called 依然愛你 or in English, "Still Love You"

It's one of the sweetest, purest, songs I've heard in a long time.. It brought back pleasant memories, and it's the kind of song you MUST HAVE playing on repeat when you feel down,homesick, or maybe just a little sad.. It definitely lifts you up :')

I have the lyrics here with Pinyin, and I tried translating it the best I could.. A little rushed and I will improvise it later but for now.. It'll do :)

Also, the MV for this song is directed by WongFu Productions of YouTube fame :)
I'm definitely expecting a lot from this MV.. I mean, their MV's (especially David Choi's) are just.. they just make the song better. Which is a pretty tall order since it's already so beautiful.. haha..

Getting to the point.

It's been a really funny,weird,somewhat exciting 2 years.. Yes,No,Maybe,Don't Know, Never Will Know,Might Find Out Soon 's and etc.. Very unpredictable.. Which is not exactly my cup of 'cha'.. But, because of this ride.. I've learnt to live life a day at a time, with of course, a goal in front to work for. No matter how well, detailed your plan is..- Which I tend to do.. I like detailed plans. So I know exactly what to expect.. - it does not mean it will go AS PLANNED. Good lesson learnt. Still learning..But I think I just might pass this 'test'.. I've done pretty well so far if I do say so myself.. :P

What was this weird up-down-all around-unpredictable-thoughplanned- ride you ask? All shall be revealed. Finally. Yes, I will finally put it in words. I haven't done so. Not even really explained or told anyone till now. So, this shall be a process, that I shall journal.. So that the ME in the future -maybe I'm reading this now- will remember :) And never forget...

Just read a very sad article in The Star... So sad but so very true...!
How we all know the answer but don't want to work towards it is beyond me.. We've heard similiar stories for years and still, nothing is being done to change this HUGE mistake.. What else? The oh so common topic of Malaysia giving away, or rather forcing away valuable talent out of our country.. If.. if only.. Sigh..

On the bright side, many people are speaking out and speaking up which is so important.. So proud of us! We are finally learning to tell the truth!! Telling it as it is.. Because that really is the only way isn't it?

Coincidentally, listened to Namewee's latest song.. The lyrics are translated into BM and English on his blog, and I must commend him on his honesty!! The best part is, I believe most Malaysians can completely identify with the song.. (Apart from the personal bits) I could really relate to it and coming from a person who was getting used to being disappointed by Malaysian artists, I must say there IS A LOT OF HOPE!! There are so many amazing Malaysian talents that should no longer be denied their deserved praise!! Bravo guys!! You are an inspiration to us all!!

I think what we can do, being the future of our nation, is to learn to not be bound to stereotypes,norms,or any kind of 'box'... To learn to be brave when the truth needs to be brought forth.. Not to hide like we are doing something wrong for wanting a better future for our country.. Because we have the right to want a better tomorrow. We must not let the bad decisions of a few people affect our nation for generations and generations to come.. If there is something I have learnt from history, it took someone to learn from history to make history.. We have seen and lived with the decisions made earlier, we know some of them are not helping very much, and since we know the problem, why don't we solve it? For the sake of every Malaysian! Call me idealistic, but I won't agree with you. I am not asking for world peace, just a system that at least is based on justice. Of course it does not mean that everything will run smoothly after that, but now the issue is that our whole nation has taken a wrong turn by thinking that 'special priviledge, is the way' ..

You see it everywhere everyday,unnecessary 'special prilivedges' are given, which are of course very nice for the receiver, but what about those who work twice as hard but do not even come close to where the special person is? the spirit of 'injustice' that is even found in laws that are supposed to be at least fair are not.. How,pray tell, do you expect your assets to stay here? If places were switched, would you?? Think about it..

What to say to something like that? Anger evolves into Hate which then becomes Ignorance...
Is this really something that will resolve your anger? Or jealousy or whatever it is that caused such stu- no..Childish actions? Is THIS what you want your grandchildren/children to hear about or maybe even worse.. reenact in the near future?
Without mutual respect there will be no way..I repeat.. NO WAY that we will progress. Without change.. good change.. how do we expect to be better? Don't even talk about being the best.. Just improve.. Have a want to move forward.. Have a NEED to Want Change... How else, pray tell, are we supposed to be a civilized community? A community or rather country that is capable of participating in global issues.. How can it be that while other countries are progressing,we are very possibly moving in the opposite direction?

You ask us how do we improve? You ask us how do we become a better nation? You ask us how we can be united?
Well. The answer has been given years ago and it has NOT changed.
You want improvement? You want unity? You want peace? BE FAIR. That s it. Not even a Godly justice which OBVIOUSLY we as humans are not capable of.. But a very humanly possible fairness.. Really.. That s what we want.. wait.. no.. it s what we NEED.

If an time was a good time to change, it would be NOW.. The world is evolving, changing, every second it is not going to wait for you. Seize the moment.The time is NOW. Don't look at situations where the citizens actually, for one of the rare times, have something to SAY! We have learned from the past and from others.. We have learned that we have a Voice.. Kami ada suara.. We a have a right to the land. We have a right to shape our future. We have a right to have a Say in how our country, Yes, OUR country, should be steered.
No. I am not saying we do not need leaders. We do. In fact now more than ever.. We need capable leaders to take charge,hand in hand with the people, to bring our nation to where it is supposed to be. I have a lot of hope in our country. I have a lot of concern and love for our nation. It is no longer 'alright' to say 'Oh tak apa la, boleh hidup tak apala'.. no more..
It is time for us to stand strong and to not be afraid.. To stand and to speak what should have been said a long time ago.

Enough is enough.

You ask why is it that other nations have better 'people'.. Look around, we have so many capable people, intelligent,talented,charismatic as well as leadership worthy people.. The problem? You refuse to abandon your ignorant past ways to allow equality.. By equality I mean gender as well as race.. Look at Obama. Would that have happened if t
America had the same ways as us? Was it a mistake having him as President? No. So why can't we learn? It is alright if we don't know, but it is not alright to act ignorant when you already know the answer..
Believe me when I say I love our nation. I want the best for our people because I see that our people are such incredibly amazing people but with the weakness of ungiven opportunities for them to prove themselves fairly.. Without any biasness. That is our number ONE enemy. Biasness. Biasness in EVERYTHING. But that s not it, it is Biasness without any reason, really, not that biasness should have a reason, but you know what I mean.. Until we are willing to confront this very obvious problem.. we will be stuck like this. Always. No matter how much effort you put in, how much money you pump in, how many years you take... Our nation will not progress. We will not be able to move anywhere but backwards. The people will move away and then the country will fall. That is not what I want, It is not what we want. Take action. Stop talking without taking actions. We are tired of it. Our youth is learning this cowardly method of talking loudly but having no actions taken. What do you expect them to do? Who do they learn from? They learn everything everyday..

Make a choice.
What kind of future do you want for our nation?
Do you even want a future?

Malaysia Boleh.. (I mean it)

First Time for Everything... ?

Sigh.. Just finished half of the (horrendous) STPM.. Went to the dentist to get my... wisdom tooth extracted... !!! I seriously had NO idea about how serious it was.. I thought it was a simple tooth extraction.. (I didn't have time to research about it laa) Anyway... it went quite OK... Pain was... well.. 'boleh tahan lah'.. The dental surgeon was experienced.. and reminded me of some of my classmates.. ahah.. : P

He was telling me how this was the first time he was extracting a wisdom tooth from someone who was right (smack in the middle) of an examination (STPM !!) Haih... when he said that I almost wanted to sigh out loud.. it was like " I'm already numb from the exam, now my mouth has to be numbed for an extraction" aiyooo.. I know a LOT of people will say " Who ask you to be soo SMART?? Wait till after STPM !!!"
Excuse me... Please.. You seriously think I'm that silly? I have no Choice !! I 'm beginning "New Chapter" 5 days after I finish the "Hell-ific Hurdles aka STPM" So.. I basically have to just push and tahan... I prayed like mad in the dentist chair.. But I seemed all CALM.. I really wasn't... But God helped me a LOT... Overall it was alright.. I hope there will be no complications.. I want to enjoy my last days Pain-Free!!! Please God... PLEASE!!!

Going for another check-up later.. To see if it is doing alright.. (The extraction site I mean) Oh well... Here goes nothing.. Sounds quite wacko right... "Crazy person.. So weird.. extract tooth in the middle of exam... So Easy meh?" I heard THAT!! My reply : Don't Ask... You wouldn't get it anyway.. I have a WACKO life.. Sometimes by choice. But MOSTLY not (obviously) My decision...

Ther's a first time for EVERYTHING I guess... And I can proudly add

Just came home from school.. Feeling really confused.. I really don't know how to describe what im feeling now.. which is pretty rare.. im rarely ever.. well... 'emo'..
haih.. i feel sad,disappointed,hurt,upset,scared,and confused i guess. i felt like crying even.. in school i mean.. but its so weird.. i dont ever get this emotional over this kind of thing.. but yeah.. anyway..

i just wish that we could all go together.. its like our last event .. mayb not for you guys but for me at least. who knows when we'll c each other again? it is these years that we should cherish.. the friendships we make just before we spread our wings..flying off to our different destinies.. I know its a pretty small thing but i really feel we should not forgo our memories for some pretty petty reasons.. im really not trying to blame anyone.. seriously.. not this time at least.. its sad really.. i used to overlook these events as stupid and a waste of money.. but guys.. its our final year of school! The very last! uni is not the same! this marks our end of uniforms, wacky classmates who some, have no clue what they want in life, the feeling of just being 'you' with your friends, without having to bother if you're acting mature or not..!! I dont know.. i just really dont know what to feel or say anymore.. mayb i wish we could just go like you guys managed to do quite a few times before.. supporting a friend as you may call it.. this could also mean making a stand for our friendship.. but of course.. thats just me.. i really dont know y im feeling so upset about it.. go figure.. ignore my ramblings. i just really had to get it out of my system. i cant tell anyone about it.. cos its quite stupid, and i dont think anyone really cares about it.. i mean they're right you know.. its just a dumb event! but i guess i just have been looking forward to going with my friends.. oh well.. i hope there's a next time.. with friends? i dont know.. i hope so!

Lee Hom = Awesome

Wang Lee Hom... He is really talented.. I really admire his musical talents, he truly is one who loves his music. The effort, the message, the thought put into all his songs are really significant... Besides his great looks ( you can't say you did't see that one coming.. hehe..) he really is a true musician.. Which is more than I can say for may other artists.. I may just be a fan.. (: Michael buble.. come on.. whats happening? Lee Hom is quickly taking your place! lol.. Oh yea, and did I mention, he only learnt Mandarin when he was 18.. A true inspiration.. He has brains too.. Check out his interview with Tash Aw... Don't tell me that was nothing.. You probably could'nt get it... So what if he's moody? THats a sign of a musician! I know.. trust me.. They only seem that way to people who don't understand.. they don't realize the tremendous pressure musicians put upon themselves.. They are special that way.. And they would'nt be the same without their occasional perfectionist mannerisms.. :P
Hey, I'm just saying what I think and feel, no offense or watever.. And even if it were rumours, I still would'nt change what I think about Lee Hom.. He truly is talented.. And an inspiration.. Kudos, Wang Lee Hom!! Keep it up..

Hmm.. Sometimes I get these thoughts and they really make me wish i had a built in printer that could print whatever i was of thinking at the moment.. you ever had that feeling? Well, anyway.. (:

I was just thinking the other day, how a simple action could have changed something. How we are all somehow interconnected... How sometimes, you realize its too late, that you could have done something to help, if only you had been more sensitive..
I don't really know..

She was one of the most amazing doctors I had ever known.. Kind, concerned, great advisor, a true professional,loved by soo many patients.. and most of all.. a great model for future doctors to follow.. The beloved Dr. Nages..
She went home to be with Jesus forever, with no more pain or suffering.. Amen.. I hope to see you again... Thank you for being such a great help, to the community, to my family, and as an inspiration to me.

A Lesson Learnt(?) (Learning... : P)

I have learnt quite a lot this year.. (and its only March!) When it comes to making friends.. It's actually pretty complicated.. haih. wont say too much.. but basically.. I've learntthat just when you think this person could be a great friend.. think again.and AGAIN. andd again.... yea, he or she may be nice to talk to.. or friendly at first, someone who shares his/her problems to you.. but really.. there are just some people who don't get what being a friend is really about. Enough said. I've blogged about it in my diary blog. so. I 'll just leave it as it is. I hope this post (no matter how short or confusing it is..) has been able to help some of you.. Trust me, you do NOT want to face what I'm facing now. It just makes you feel like a piece of tissue in the toilet. There.Useful. But you don't care 2 hoots about it..(Forgive the lame analogy.. it just popped into my head..) Okay. I'm drained out. Don't forget God. He helps SOOO much. Without him, I think I would not be able to take this.. (:

I Love(d) Monday..!!!

Hey... yea.. I know.. Monday's??!?!? Grr.. hate it.. but well, I loved yesterday, which was a Monday.. lol
Well we were'nt too thrilled to wake up ( refferin to siblings and i) cos nxt week is school.. ugh.. but my dad was all " WAKE UP!! We're Going GO-KART-ing!" My bro was the First to get up.. BOING!! You see, he is MAD about cars.. loves driving and all that.. and has been begging to go go-karting..
I was kinda excited but my sis wasn't Exact-ly hyped about it..
We got to the place and the weather was just beautiful!! Cool and windy and clear skies!! We watched several pro go-karters 'vroom' skillfully round the windy track.. I was determined to persuade my dad that I wasn't going to go.. I was all
'take-my-bro cos he's the one who really wanted to..( The truth is, I wasn't scared or anything, but the price was enough to make me determined not to go..I am quite 'Scrooge-y' on myself)
Just as we were paying for my sis and bro and dad.. My dad and bro were to take a two-seater..and my sis a 80cc.. single.. They had to fill in forms and the man asked her if she had any experience or if she could drive.. She was like.. NO!and that's when my dad and mum and sis looked at me.. I was' No..' but my mum said go.. so.. i agreed. we took a 2-seater too.

You see, i didn't look at the rates properly. it said for 10 mins its rm50 for two seater and rm35 for single... but there's a deposit fee!! which i mistook for the rates altogether.. i thought its rm100 for 10 mins.. so yea.. yes i know it s not exactly cheap either.. but its worth it!!

So we got into the go-kart. I was in the driver seat meaning i steered it. There were two steering's which weren't of any use since my sis just sat there (she went for a joyride basically)
It was way cool! it went pretty fast and the corners were pretty sharp.. it was fun.. but of course the two seater isn't as fast as an 80cc or 100cc... but there's always next time.

All in all.. it was a great day. After go-karting we went for a swim.. So yea.. it was still great weather... Now, I am officially hooked on go-karting.. It may be pretty pricey but it's worth it!! Now i am gonna persuade my friends to go one day.. since we all finally have our driver's licence.. I'm sure it'll be a BLAST!!!

Super Summary

Hi. Here's a SUPER brief summary on what has been going on for the past two months. First, I had to go for practices cos we performed at Berjaya Times Square as carollers.. which was kinda cool cos i made lots of new friends and they're all really nice!! wen i get pics i ll post 'em.. anyway.. it was super fun.. although we (or rather I) were disappointed a few times due to miscommunication, and procrastination...ahem.. we managed to pull it off! So Kudos to us!! I have to admit, this has been the most exciting hols ever.. and I enjoyed it... Basically that was it.. Lots of drama but I'm quite lazy to type it... ahah.. so yea.. lol. I told you it was Super brief!!
